This is a program offered to already licenced pilots. You will learn the IFR rules and procedures to fly in less than ideal weather conditions and in clouds.
A minimum grade of a C+ in English 12, Math 12, and Physics 11.
Applicants will have to have a valid Canadian Private Pilot Licence. This should be clickable and redirect them to the PPL page
Current Transport Canada Category 1 Medical Certificate.
Applicants will also have to complete an interview and a reference check.
Students whose primary language is not English will need to complete a language assessment during the application process. If an applicant is not successful, they will have to take Coastal Pacific’s Aviation Communication course prior to the start of flight training.
This rating is an addition to a licence. With completion of this rating, it will not allow you to be employed but further your training as a pilot. If you wanted to make aviation a career, you would have to receive your Commercial Pilot Licence.
